More than 100 of you braved the
rain for a day-trip to Mexico bringing gifts, food, entertainment, prayer, the
Gospel, and more to an eager crowd of smiling faces. So many lives on each side
of the border were changed as God showed up in surprising and unexpected ways. Here
are a couple of YOUR stories:
After coming back from a missions trip to Malawi, I wasn’t sure what to expect in Mexico! I thought not much could top what we experienced, but wow oh wow did God show up on this outreach! We witnessed healing from pain, men weeping in repentance, freedom from drug addictions, and women fighting for their families and marriages – all came desperate before God! The day was more than I had expected. Kids got presents and people got fed, but my favorite is always seeing people encounter Jesus! We met amazing people and left so filled and in awe of how God keeps moving wherever we step out! I love seeing God show up and do more than we can ever do in our own strength!

Yesterday’s outreach was so amazing!! People were fed & kids were blessed with toys!! BUT GOD! He touched lives in supernatural ways! Before we crossed the border, I heard a teenage boy tell the pastor, “I’ll work in any area you want me to.” He ended up with us at the prayer station and said he hadn’t ever prayed for another person in public. He ended up interpreting for us & then joined in praying! He later said that he had never witnessed God do anything like he did today! His faith expanded in a mighty way! One lady, after she was filled with the power of God, left and brought her husband back for prayer. He rededicated his life to the Lord, eyes filled with tears & hope. We knew there was a language barrier, but we KNEW we weren’t relying on our own ability, but the power of God!

Saturday was a perfect reminder of God’s surprising and unexpected display of love and grace in sending Jesus, our Savior, as a humble child born in the midst of turmoil.
